I think the Kobayashi/Czech Phil. Mahler 3 is far more intense. But the Macal is better recorded, and Remmert is always outstanding. Still, I'd go with the Kobayashi.

I think the Kobayashi is better recorded. It's one of the best sounding Mahler recordings ever. It's also an excellent interpretation.

Not hear the Kobayashi yet.

But I have listened Macal and found this performance very good, until the last 3-4 minutes where the ecstasis and exaltation are not there.
